VINTAGE BOXED SET of CUTLERY - 30 PIECES

This lovely cutlery set is housed in an oak box which has a plaque that reads "Manufactured by Walker & Hall, Sheffield, a Sheffield-based silversmith who was eventually taken over by Mappin & Webb. The 30 piece set includes six 5-piece place settings - 6 of each dinner knives, dinner forks, salad knives, salad forks and soup spoons.  The knife blades are stainless steel and marked Robert F. Mosley Ltd, Sheffield (the first makers of stainless steel) and their handles are ivory Bakelite. The remaining cutlery pieces are all Silver Plate and bear the script monogram "C". The box is equipped with a key for safekeeping.
