Our limited edition collection of redware bowls, pitchers and platters is made by a potter who is known for his 'museum quality reproductions.' These pieces have been made over time, and are based on artifacts, as well as vintage photographs and period illustrations, for authenticity.
Redware refers to an early American earthen ware built from clay with a high iron content that turns reddish brown when fired. Redware pottery is becoming increasingly rare, and thus, highly collectible. What remains of these museum-quality reproductions are destined for family heirloom status.
