This showpiece was designed in 1985 by Roberto Niederer for the Swiss glass company, Glasi Hergiswil. The company is the last remaining glass works manufacturer in Switzerland where glass is still blown and formed by hand. All these years later, Glasi Hergiswil still considers this work of art a bestseller. Initially designed as a wine/champagne cooler, it most certainly could be utilized as a flower vase. Organic in form, this piece was ahead of its time when designed in the mid 80's.
