This antique wood trestle table from Belgium is a 2-piece design with an elongated 'X' crossbar in the center of the base. The top lifts off and the base is one piece. That said, you could take the base apart if need be for transport.
The table is structurally sound, but is lightweight. It is perfectly fine to sit at for dinner, but we would not recommend using it laden with very heavy weighted objects.
