MAE WEST

Eells and Musgrove are uniquely qualified to be the biographers of this fabulous personality. Both close friends of Mae, they have drawn on intimate stories she told about herself, but would not allow to be published during her lifetime. They were able to persuade Paramount Pictures to open it's sealed production code files at the Motion Picture and Television Producers Association for the first time, so that Mae's battles with the movie censors could be described in detail. The result is the full story of one of the most famous women of the century.
