The Rigaud story began in 1852. A storied French brand, Rigaud is one of the oldest fragrance companies in the world. It is best known for its Cyprès scented candle launched in 1959, which, to this day, remains its signature scent. The scent is inspired by the richness of the Mediterranean forest, with woody notes of pine needles and the aroma of cedarwood, infused with a bit of lavender. 

As originally packaged, the candles are presented in Rigaud's zebra striped boxes. Regardless of size, the legendary green wax candle is offered in a clear glass vessel hand-tied with a red ribbon and crowned with a silver metal snuffer cap.
